GIVING WITH PURPOSE
An Offering Toward the Life
We Share.
Gifts help make room for people to step away, gather around a table, study Scripture, and enter places of rest. They support the ordinary costs behind this work without changing its invitation-based character.
STEWARDSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY
What Is Given Is Entrusted
We do not regard a gift as simply money received. It is something placed into our hands for the work we have been given to do.
Warriors Rest is governed by its board, which carries fiduciary responsibility for the organization and its resources. Contributions are received by Warriors Rest, not by any individual, and are used to further its religious and charitable purposes. Financial decisions and expenditures are documented and remain under board oversight.
Board service is unpaid. When a board member performs separate work for Warriors Rest for which compensation is appropriate, that compensation is not for board service. The work and compensation are separately considered, approved, and documented.
We seek to handle what is given with the same care we ask people to bring to every other thing entrusted to them.
GIVING TOWARD A PARTICULAR NEED
A Gift With a Place to Go.
Some people want to give toward a particular retreat, gathering, resource, or area of ministry. If you would like to designate a gift for a specific purpose, contact us before giving so we can make sure Warriors Rest is able to receive and administer the gift for that purpose.
All contributions remain under the control and discretion of Warriors Rest and must be used in furtherance of its religious and charitable purposes. When Warriors Rest accepts a donor restriction for a particular charitable purpose, those funds are accounted for and administered accordingly.

CHARITABLE GIVING
Tax-Deductible Contributions
Warriors Rest is an Idaho nonprofit religious corporation organized and operated for religious and charitable purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
For federal tax purposes, Warriors Rest operates under the filing exception provided in Section 508(c)(1)(A) for qualifying churches. Section 508(c)(1)(A) does not create a separate tax-exempt designation; it provides an exception from the requirement to apply to the IRS for recognition of exemption on Form 1023.
The IRS provides that churches meeting the requirements of Section 501(c)(3) are automatically considered tax exempt and may receive tax-deductible charitable contributions even when they have not applied for or received an IRS determination letter.
Contributions to Warriors Rest are generally tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donation acknowledgments are provided for your records. When no goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution, the acknowledgment will state that accordingly.
